3/29/19 - SPIRIT IN THE DARK

Spirit In The Dark - Courtney Lemmon and George Kahn Jazz & Blues Revue  

When we lost Aretha Franklin last year, I felt that my Jazz & Blues Revue group HAD to do an Aretha Tribute set.  Aretha may be best known for her R&B hits, but she came from the church gospel tradition, and my favorite songs of hers stem from that part of her soul.  Here is a live performance from our Holiday Show at Vitello's with Courtney Lemmon KILLING it! Gina Saputo and Crystal Starr on b/up vocals, Gary Wicks on bass, and (off camera) George Kahn on piano, MB Gordy on drums.
