Ella Fitzgerald:
Mr. Paganini Live in London 1961
Without question, Ella Fitzgerald is one of the greatest jazz singers that ever lived. Verve Records recently released a new Ella album from a live concert she did in Berlin in 1962 (it was part of a large European tour that she did with her pianist Paul Smith). The sound quality and the performance is astounding for a recording made 60 years ago! The "Lost Tapes" were just recently found. It was sitting in a vault all of these years. When Gregg Field was handed the tape box, it still had the yellow scotch tape that hadn’t been opened.
Here is the album on Spotify:

There is no video from that Berlin concert, but I found this great live Youtube video from 1961, with her singing my favorite Ella tune, Mr. Paganini, followed by 'Round Midnight. No, your eyes aren't tricking you - the pianist on the second song changes to Oscar Peterson!
