That is the number of people that have watched this clip on YouTube, featuring the Miles Davis Quintet in 1959, about 4 months before the release of Kind Of Blue, the best selling jazz album in history (the album, in its various editions, has sold over 5 Million copies since the release).
Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly, Jimmy Garrison and Jimmy Cobb. What more is there to say? This live recording was filmed for a short-lived jazz TV Show, Jazz From Sixty-One, hosted by Robert Herridge. Having listened to the album countless times, it was a revelation to find a live recording of the band. Enjoy!
